Zinc media indie Supercollider is profiling singer, songwriter and artist Nick Cave, in new Sky Original documentary The Veiled World of Nick Cave (w/t).

The documentary coincides with upcoming Sky Original drama, The Death of Bunny Munro, a new six-part series from BBc Studios’ Clerkenwell Films, based on Cave’s second novel, with an original score by Nick Cave and long-time collaborator Warren Ellis.

The one-off special will hear from some of his closest collaborators,  including musicians Florence Welch, Colin Greenwood and Warren Ellis, designer Bella Freud, filmmaker Wim Wenders and writer Irvine Welsh. They will discuss his influence on their own creative work and his symbolic world in this new one-off special.

With never-before-heard stories they’ll reveal how working with Cave has transformed their own creative lives, examining the archetypal figures woven through his work, his artistic courage and singular impact.

Phil Edgar-Jones, Executive Director, Unscripted Originals, Sky, said: “Nick Cave is one of those incomparable artists whose power of storytelling knows no bounds. His vivid landscapes are brought to life through his lyrics, his books, his music and his ceramics. We’re delighted to be lifting the lid on his brilliantly multi-layered world in this special.”

The Veiled World of Nick Cave (w/t) is produced by Supercollider. Mike Christie serves as Director and Seb Barfield as Producer. The Commissioning Editor for Sky is Barbara Lee and the Executive Producer for Sky Studios is Charlotte Mardon-Heath.

The Veiled World of Nick Cave (w/t) will air on Sky Documentaries later this year.
