Jennifer Salke is stepping down as head of Amazon MGM Studios to start a production company, according to an internal memo sent to employees by Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios head Mike Hopkins.
Salke, former NBC Entertainment president, took on the role in February 2018. She will not be replaced. Instead, Head of TV Vernon Sanders and Head of Film, Streaming and Theatrical Courtenay Valenti will report directly to Hopkins.
Salke has been across all Amazon’s TV and film, inluding The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (pictured) and Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls.
Prime Video recently gained complete control of the James Bond IP and bought Bray Studios in the UK last year.
