O-T Fagbenle (The Handmaid’s Tale) is to write and star in new dark comedy drama for Amazon MGM Studios produced by Osun Group.
Osun Group’s Luti Fagbenle and Sheila Nortley will be the Executive Producers behind Kill The Bedfords.
O-T Fagbenle is the creator, writer and star of Kill the Bedfords, which is billed as a darkly comedic, action-packed apocalyptic road series. It centres on a dysfunctional family trying to save their grandfather as the world crumbles around them. It explores survival, technology, and human stubbornness through the lens of a family that can’t stop arguing – even as civilization collapses.
O-T Fagbenle credits include his role as Lucas Bankole in Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale. He most recently appeared in Apple TV+‘s Presumed Innocent. The Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts
graduate’s credits span film, television, and theatre, including Marvel’s Black Widow opposite Scarlett Johansson, Showtime’s The First Lady (portraying Barack Obama opposite Viola Davis), Apple TV+‘s WeCrashed with Jared Leto and Anne Hathaway, and HBO’s critically acclaimed Looking. On stage, Fagbenle led the Royal National Theatre cast of Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom to the Olivier Award for Best Revival and earned an M.E.N. Theatre Award for Six Degrees of Separation.
