The BBC has revealed the first look images from season 2 of  comedy series Dreaming Whilst Black (6×30’) from A24 and Big Deal Films for BBC Three and BBC iPlayer..

The new season finds Kwabena at the start of his professional career in a new era: the age of diversity, equity and inclusion, where empowering marginalized voices are seemingly at the top of everyone’s agenda. The show is adapted from the web series co-written by Adjani Salmon and Ali Hughes, which won Salmon the 2022 BAFTA for Emerging Talent: Fiction and Screen International Star of Tomorrow.

Returning cast members include Dani Moseley as Amy, Demmy Ladipo as Maurice, Rachel Adedeji as Funmi and babirye bukilwa as Vanessa.

The series was commissioned by Jon Petrie, Director of Comedy Commissioning at the BBC and Fiona Campbell, Controller Youth Audience, iPlayer and BBC Three. The executive producers are Adjani Salmon, Ali Hughes and Big Deal Films’ Dhanny Joshi and Thomas Stogdon. The series is directed by Sebastian Thiel and Abdou Cisse, and produced by Nicola Gregory. The Commissioning Editor for the BBC is Tanya Qureshi.
