Creative Outpost has added Colourist and Director of Photography, Jack Caswell, to its Soho studio.
Relocating from the US, Caswell brings extensive experience across commercials, episodic, documentaries and independent film, with a career shaped by a rare dual background in cinematography and colour.
Caswell studied cinematography at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he was mentored by ASC cinematographers Michael Chapman and Thomas Ackerman. After graduating, he built a career in Los Angeles, shooting series, features and commercial campaigns while developing a parallel career as a colourist. His credits include high-profile work for Nike, Adidas, Calvin Klein, Dior, Google and Uniqlo, as well as independent features such as The Apology and multiple collaborations with director Mickey Reece. His projects have screened at Cannes, Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca and Fantastic Fest, and commercial campaigns he has graded have received recognition from AdWeek and the Webby Awards.
“London has such a rich creative culture and I’m thrilled to be joining Creative Outpost at this exciting point in my career. I’m looking forward to collaborating with the talented team here while continuing to work with clients in the US and internationally,” says Caswell.
Through Creative Outpost’s CO-STREAM platform, Jack will continue to collaborate remotely with global clients, enabling real-time, colour-optimised grading sessions across borders and time zones.
“CO-STREAM makes it possible to bridge any distance. Remote isn’t just a backup anymore — it’s often the most effective way to work,” he adds.
Creative Outpost co-founders Danny Etherington and Quentin Olszewski comment: “We’re excited to welcome Jack to Creative Outpost. His expertise as both a Colourist and DoP, paired with his international perspective, makes him a fantastic addition to our team. With CO-STREAM, Jack’s creativity will be accessible to clients around the world.”
