The 6 x 30 minute series follows Murray and friends across some of the island’s most breathtaking fairways. Joined by the extended Murray family, celebrity friends, and long-time golfing companion Tom Coyne, the journey “moves from revelations to epiphanies — and the occasional wrong turn. Off Course captures candid, unscripted moments woven with the wit, warmth, and wonder of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.”

Bill Murray says: “I started out caddying, and golf was the best education I ever received. Ireland feels like the right place to put all that to work. They’ve got this wonderful word there, ‘craic,’ which means fun, but it means a lot of other things. A lot of good things. And this show will be about us finding it.”

BBC Factual Entertainment and BBC Northern Ireland along with Paramount+ have commissioned Off Course (w/t)

The series is co-produced by Stellify Media and US production company Skydance Sports, which was recently announced as part of the newly formed Paramount Sports Entertainment.

The series is co-commissioned for the BBC by Catherine Catton, Head of Factual Entertainment and Events Commissioning and Eddie Doyle Head of Northern Ireland Commissioning.

The BBC’s Factual Entertainment Commissiong Editor is Cal Turner and BBC Northern Ireland’s Commissioning Editor is Jason Butler.

The Skydance Sports Executive Producers are Jesse Sisgold, Jason T. Reed, Jon Weinbach, Greg Groggel.
