ITN Productions’ Ant Anstead: Born Mechanic will be returning to Warner Bros. Discovery’s Quest for season three with an extended order of 18 episodes.
The series was one of Quest’s top premiering series in 2025 and will air again from this summer.
The car/house renovation fact ent format fronted by Ant Anstead sees the celebrity mechanic restore classic cars and use the profits to fund the renovation of a house he’s bought for his parents.
The series were ordered by Graham Lafferty, commissioned by Charlotte Reid and produced by Romy Page for Warner Bros. Discovery UK & Ireland.
The recommission sees Jeremy Daldry, ITN Productions’ Deputy Head of UK Factual, return as executive producer and Audrey Neil as series editor.
Jeremy Daldry said: “Born Mechanic has captured viewers’ imaginations in the UK and around the world. Season one and two were both eight episodes; to have an extended run of 18 episodes for season three is testament to the show’s production teams and the warmth and relatability that Ant, his family and Duncan bring to the challenge of renovating both the cars and the house. With such a substantial commission behind us, ITN Productions is leading the way when it comes to modern formatted factual content.”
Ant Anstead said: “I am really proud of the partnership with ITN Productions and the show that we have built over the past two years. Born Mechanic has resonated because it’s real in a world where authenticity and charm is often hard to find. I’m excited to tackle the work ahead and keep building on the success of the previous seasons. Best call my dad and let him know he’s going to be busy!”
