One Tribe TV has teamed up with explorer and extreme athlete Ash Dykes on his journey into the Uncharted Amazon.
Uncharted Amazon (3 × 60 mins), made with distributor/producer Bomanbridge Media, launches next month and marks the latest collaboration between One Tribe TV and Ash Dykes, following their previous high-end expedition project, Ash Dykes’ Yellow River Adventure, which is due to launch in 2026.
Filmed across some of the most remote and inhospitable regions of the Amazon rainforest in Suriname, the series will blend real-life obs doc adventure, survival, wildlife and environmental storytelling, and extraordinary human endeavour.
The series has been acquired by Viasat.
Ash Dykes said: “It’s an absolute honour to take on what is considered one of the last remaining world-firsts in modern adventuring – and to have it produced as an international TV series is incredibly exciting.
“Working again with one of the best production companies, One Tribe TV, and being backed yet again by Bomanbridge – who have supported my expeditions from the beginning – means a great deal. This journey takes place in one of the least explored and greenest countries in the world, and I can’t wait for audiences to see it.”
Across three hour-long episodes, Ash and his small team, undertake a multi-disciplinary expedition into Suriname, the most forested country on earth – navigating unmapped territories, confronting extreme natural hazards with extraordinary wildlife encounters. The journey pushes him into environments he has never encountered before, highlighting the need to protect the planet’s rainforests, while showcasing his trademark resilience, focus, and physical endurance.
Dale Templar, Executive Producer and Co-Founder of One Tribe, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with Ash again. His ability to push the limits while connecting audiences to the deeper cultural and environmental stories behind his expeditions is unmatched. Uncharted Amazon is ambitious, global factual storytelling rooted in human courage and has real-world impact.”
Sonia Fleck, CEO of Bomanbridge Media, added: “We have worked with Ash since his first series, Walking the Yangtze, followed by The Great Wall and now Uncharted Amazon—each a complex and often dangerous expedition. I have tremendous respect for his relentless grit and unwavering self-belief in the face of extreme challenges. Ash is a remarkable example of resilience, and I’m excited for a wider global audience to witness once again how clarity, courage, and determination can overcome even the toughest odds.”
Based in Wales (Chepstow) and the West of England (Bath), One Tribe’s recent work includes series include Yellow River Adventures with Ash Dykes for Insight/CICC/CCTV (delivering Spring 2026), The Rescue: 54 Hours Under The Ground (BBC), Sex: A Bonkers History for Sky History, The Emerald Isles for BBC/TG4, Wonders of the Celtic Deep for the BBC, Jonnie’s Blade Camp for Channel 4 and BAFTA Cymru-nominated Liz Johnson: Swimming Against the Tide for BBC One Wales and iPlayer. It exclusively produces the One Big Thank You segment on BBC One’s The One Show, along with many of its VTs – making more film content for The One Show than any other company in the UK.
