National Geographic is recruiting Cate Hall to the role of Commissioning Editor, UK. She most recently headed up specialist factual at 72 Films.
In this role, Cate will work on development and commissioning of factual programming for Disney+, Hulu, and National Geographic’s international linear channels. Based in the UK, Hall will report to National Geographic SVP Bengt Anderson.
At 72 Films, Hall co-executive produced a range of shows including Netflix feature Britain and the Blitz and 007: Road to a Million (S2) for Amazon Prime.
Before that, she headed up development at the Documentary Unit at BBC Studios as creative director, overseeing commissions including Aileen: Queen of the Serial Killers for Netflix and returnable series Inside Our Minds with Chris Packham for the BBC.
She has also executive produced The Apprentice for BBC One and The Rise of the Murdoch Dynasty for BBC Two.
