Sky has released a first-look teaser trailer of The Iris Affair, a chase thriller from Sky Studios and Fremantle.

When enigmatic genius Iris Nixon (Algar) cracks a string of complex online puzzles, she’s led to a piazza in Florence where she meets entrepreneur Cameron Beck (Hollander). He invites her to come and work for him to unlock a powerful and top-secret piece of technology. Her curiosity piqued, she accepts. But when Iris discovers its dangerous potential, she steals the journal containing the device’s activation sequence—and vanishes.

What follows is a pursuit, from a remote cabin in Sardinia through the bustling streets of Rome, as Cameron races to find Iris.

The series is directed by Terry McDonough and Sarah O’Gorman, and the Series Executive Producer is Tim Bricknell (The Power, Taboo). Susan E. Connolly and Ian Scott McCullough have written episodes. Executive Producers are Adrian Sturges for Sky Studios; Neil Cross and Terry McDonough; and Jenni Sherwood and Dante Di Loreto for Fremantle.

Wildside, a Fremantle company, provided production services in Italy. Fremantle is handling international sales of the series.

Starring Niamh Algar (Mary & George, The Virtues) and Tom Hollander (The White Lotus, Feud: Capote vs. The Swans), The Iris Affair is a sun-drenched chase thriller created, written and showrun by Neil Cross (Luther) and directed by Terry McDonough (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) and Sarah O’Gorman (A Gentleman in Moscow, The Witcher).
