Former BBC executive Aisling O’Connor has joined Film Soho, producers of documentary Twiggy, as Creative Director, Television.
O’Connor will lead on the strategic growth and development of Film Soho’s content slate as they look to expand production volume across both Film and Television. She will work at Group level with Film Soho’s Directors and Co-Founders Nick Hamson and Chris Greenhill.
O’Connor was previously a BBC Music and Arts Commissioning Executive, a Daytime Commissioning Editor, a Panorama Executive Producer and Head of BBC England TV Commissioning. Most recently she was interim Lead Commissioning Editor on Storyville – the landmark global documentary strand.
Aisling started at London Weekend Television.
During a BBC career spanning 29 years she was Commissioning Editor for many well-known series including Great British Menu, Bargain Hunt, Chelsea Flower Show, Yorkshire Walks, Commando: Britain’s Ocean Warriors, U2: Innocence and Experience Live in Paris, as well as feature documentaries Tish from director Paul Sng which opened Sheffield documentary festival in 2023 and 2025 feature documentary Twiggy, directed by Sadie Frost.

Aisling joins Film Soho as Creative Director TV from July 2025. She will focus on building a bespoke slate of brand aligned content leveraging the group’s unique blend of production, facilities and distribution to maximise new content opportunities.
Based in the heart of Soho’s creative district, Film Soho is a talent-led film and TV studio, which includes the V Studio, a virtual production studio which features central London’s most advanced LED volume stage. krADR operates Central London’s largest dedicated ADR stages.
Film Soho’s co-production arm Soho Talent, partners with established actors to develop and co-produce content. Recently productions include the Twiggy documentary along with Captain Dolly Productions, led by actor/producers Sally Phillips and Ronni Ancona.
Studio Soho is a boutique UK distributor and international sales agent, which has released 32 titles in the UK to date and represents a slate of films.
Film Post offers post-production facilities, with 12 edit suites covering every stage of post-production.
