Sky has announced that Sophy Ridge and Wilfred Frost are to be the new Sky News breakfast presenters, replacing Kay Burley who left in February.

The pair will host the new Sky News breakfast programme launching later in the Autumn.  The new breakfast show’s name and studio will be revealed later in the year.

Ridge – who has hosted the Politics Hub for two years and previously Sophy Ridge on Sunday – was a lead presenter on Sky’s UK election coverage. Earlier this year, she was named RTS Presenter of the Year at the RTS Television Journalism Awards 2025.

Wilfred Frost, son of the legendary broadcaster Sir David Frost, has been in situ since Burley’s departure earlier in the year. Frost has previously worked for US broadcaster CNBC and NBC and earlier in the year produced the critically acclaimed documentary series David Frost vs -.
