Succession creator, Jesse Armstrong, will be In Conversation with journalist Marina Hyde in an exclusive session at this year’s Edinburgh TV Festival in August.

Having cut his comedy chops writing on legendary kids shows My Parents Are Aliens, The Queen’s Nose and Tracy Beaker and comedy sketch shows Revolver and Smack the Pony, in 2003 Armstrong co-created BAFTA-winning comedy Peep Show, co-writing and co-executive producing nine seasons for Channel 4, launching the careers of David Mitchell and Robert Webb and making Armstrong one of the hottest writers in the UK in the process. Since then, Armstrong has been behind multiple award-winning TV shows and films, including BAFTA-winning The Thick of It and the Academy Award nominated script for the subsequent film In The Loop; BAFTA winning comedy Four Lions and British Comedy Award-winning comedy drama Fresh Meat.

Armstrong will be discussing his career highlights, the secrets of Succession and what will come next, with the Guardian’s celebrated columnist Marina Hyde.

The Festival will once again take place at the EICC for an extended programme with dates confirmed as 22-25 August.
