UK indie World Media Rights has made two key hires following the investment in the business by ZDF Enterprises.

Val Campbell (pictured, top left) joins the company as Head of Production. With over 20 years’ production experience in factual documentaries her previous role was Head of Production at Ronachan Films which she held for six years.

Her credits include Britain’s Adoption Scandal: Breaking the Silence for ITV and First Contact: Lost Tribe Of The Amazon for Channel 4/ Netflix. Other roles Campbell has held include Head of Production at EOS Films, Acting Head of Production at Yipp Films and Head of Production at Blink Films.

The new hires follow a board restructure at World Media Rights where company CEO Alan Griffiths was joined by Creative Director David McNab and ZDF Enterprises’ Tanja Meier-Sieden.

The company is also recruiting for an Executive Producer in Factual Entertainment to further bolster the team.

Alan Griffiths, CEO of World Media Rights, added: “As we build World Media Rights following our partnership with ZDF Enterprises we’re determined to attract the very best talent the industry has to offer. We’re building a new management team and one of the ways we are doing that is by offering an equity stake in our business”.

Founded in 2007, World Media Rights produces factual TV programming and drama reconstruction for international broadcasters including Reelz, American Heroes Channel and Netflix. US cable shows include Black Ops, Air Crash Confidential and Myth Hunters.
