Whisper is to host a Recruitment Day for disabled talent on 1 February 2023, as it looks to increase representation in sport production.

Whisper was producer of both the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and 2022 Beijing Winter Games for Channel 4 and will be producing the Paris Paralympics in 2024. Working with Channel 4, Whisper has increased the number of disabled talent working behind the camera on these productions from 16% for the Tokyo Games to 18% for Beijing, “progress that the company is committed to continuing.”

Whisper recently announced that Gold Medallist Liz Johnson has joined its production team as Executive Producer and is looking to further expand.

Mark Cole, Whisper MD: “We’re in the process of building our Paralympics team, drawing on our exceptional in-house talent along with new hires. While we’re focused on the upcoming Paralympics, many of the positions we’re recruiting for will go beyond the Paralympics and include other exciting projects that Whisper’s involved with, such as Women’s Football, F1, Tennis and International Cricket.”

Whisper’s currently running a video across its social channels featuring presenters of the Paralympics advertising the up-coming event.

Those who want to be considered can send a CV with an explanation of why they think they should be considered, to getinvolved@whisper.tv, by 10 January

There are openings for those with prior production experience and also those looking to get started.
