Paramount+ has released the first-look trailer for upcoming original drama series The Serial Killer’s Wife, which lands as a boxset on Friday 15thDecember.
The four-part series is a co-production by BlackBox Multimedia and Clapperboard Studios. Executive producers are Chiara Cardoso, Giuliano Papadia (BlackBox Multimedia), Andy Morgan and Mike Benson (Clapperboard). Written by Ben Morris and Suzanne Cowie, Laura Way is the director and Jonathan Phillips serves as the producer. Newen Connect will distribute the series internationally.
The trailer, released alongside the official series key art, shows Beth Fairchild (Annabel Scholey: The Split, The Sixth Commandment) dealing with the aftermath of her husband Tom’s shocking arrest following the murder of his former assistant.
When a string of murders are unearthed, which are closely linked to Tom’s (Jack Farthing: Rain Dogs, Spencer, The Lost Daughter) violent desires, Beth is led to question was it ever just a harmless kink or the beginning of a deeper yearning for violent realism, and misogyny?
Other actors appearing in the series include, Julie Graham (Maternal, Ridley, Shetland), Shobna Gulati (Hullraisers, Inside No.9, Dinnerladies), Hari Dhillon (Guilt, Holby City, Pennyworth) and Morgana Robinson (The Windsor’s, The Martini Shot, The Larkins).
It joins the expanding slate of UK originals for Paramount+ UK & Ireland, which includes A Gentleman in Moscow, The Ex-Wife, The Flatshare, Sexy Beast, No Escape, The Killing Kind, The Burning Girls and The Castaways.
