Wall to Wall has hired Channel 4’s documentary commissioning editor Anna Miralis as head of factual, to help grow the company’s factual business focussing on UK broadcasters.

Miralis will join Wall to Wall in March with a brief to develop their slate of series, as well as overseeing some of the company’s existing shows.

She will report into Leanne Klein, Chief Executive Officer Wall to Wall.

Miralis said: “After, almost, seven amazing years commissioning at Channel 4, and over 20 years working for broadcasters, I’m finally taking the plunge to join the indie world. Leanne and her team at Wall to Wall have one of the best reputations in the industry and I’m really excited about joining them and building on their slate of factual television.”

Miralis is currently a Commissioning Editor in Channel 4’s documentaries department. She joined in 2010 and since then her credits include series Secret Life of the Zoo, Posh Pawn, British Army Girls, and singles Paedophile Hunter, Dogging Tales, Gypsy Blood and Secrets of the Living Dolls.

She also oversaw returning series such as Supervet, 24 Hours in A&E and Secret Life of 4 and 5 Year Olds.

Prior to joining Channel 4, Miralis was commissioning editor for documentaries at SBS-TV in Australia working on a range of factual commissions including the Australian version of Who Do You Think You Are?
