Prior to this, Phillips spent more than two years as Head of Development at Various Artists Limited where she script-edited the smash-hit series I May Destroy You, as well as developing multiple projects for linear broadcasters and streamers.
From 2012 to 2017 Phillips worked at Channel 4 as Script Editor, then Commissioning Executive, across a broad range of drama including The Mill, Southcliffe, The Fear, Utopia, Humans, Coalition (RTS best single drama), Skins, Misfits and Youngers.
She began her career at BBC Wales and subsequently moved into the independent production sector, script editing for a number of companies.

She is a passionate advocate for emerging voices, and, this, coupled with her deep experience and incredible drive, makes her a brilliant asset to BYO as we seek to attract the best new and experienced writers and talent.”
