Channel 5 has commissioned a second series of My Cornwall with Fern Britton from Twofour, and two more seasons of Happy Campers: The Caravan Park.
The initial two-parter will return with 3 x 60’ episodes to see Britton explore more of the county. She will find out about Cornwall’s ancient regions, its geography, culture and character.
Fern Britton said: “Cornwall continues to beguile. No matter how well you think you know its history and mystery, there is always much more to discover.”
Daniel Pearl, commissioning editor, Factual, Channel 5 & Paramount+ added: “There’s no better tour guide than Fern to explore even more delights of this stunning region which is so close to her heart.”
Neil Edwards, Head of Factual, Twofour, commented: “It’s fantastic to be back exploring Cornwall with Fern. Her love of the county and its people, and her passion to get under its skin, is wonderfully infectious.”
Also coming soon to Channel 5, series 3 (6 x 60’) and series 4 (6 x 60’) of Twofour and Motion Content Group’s popular Happy Campers: The Caravan Park. Series 2 episode 1 aired to 1.6 million viewers with a 9.8% share, becoming the highest Sunday night 8pm show across 52 weeks, and retaining a strong audience throughout its run.
Over a long hot summer, caravan parks across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset, have thrown open their doors to for old fashioned holiday fun. This series follows some of the staff and holidaymakers that help define the Great British Holiday.
Denise Seneviratne, commissioning editor, Non-Scripted UK Originals, Channel 5 & Paramount+ said: “I’m delighted that Happy Campers is returning for series 3 and 4 – our viewers love a caravan holiday and it’s full of fun and warm hearted humour.”
