Prime Video has ordered new action-comedy series, Danger Money, written and created by David Crow & Oliver Maltman (Semi-Detached), directed by Carl Tibbetts (Black Mirror, The Lazarus Project, Truelove), starring Ray Winstone (The Gentlemen, Damsel, Sexy Beast) and produced by Two Brothers Pictures (The Assassin, The Tourist, Fleabag, Boat Story) in association with All3Media International.
Production is set to commence later this year. Danger Money is a high-octane action-comedy that follows Alan ‘Razor’ Sharp (Ray Winstone), a former SAS operative haunted by a botched mission in the ‘90s that left his reputation in tatters and his best friend dead. Decades later, Razor – still plagued by guilt and desperate to rebuild a relationship with his daughter – is pulled back into the world that he’d left behind when an old friend resurfaces with a job too good to refuse.
Reluctantly drawn into one last job, Razor travels to Italy, only for events to spiral. Forced on the run with a motley crew made up of his impulsive ‘nephew’ Jamaal and secretive tag-along Roxy, he is thrust into a violent conspiracy involving hidden war spoils, corrupt institutions and powerful enemies determined to keep the past buried. As Razor fights to clear his name and protect those closest to him, he must confront the truth behind the mission that destroyed his life. Because the money isn’t the only thing waiting to be uncovered.
Ray Winstone said, “They told me the character was a bit of a scrapper, surly and getting on a bit. I told them it doesn’t ring any bells, but I like a challenge. In all seriousness, it’s everything that I love because beneath the action, laughs and the hardman antics, there’s a lot of heart, soul and depth to this script as any great characters and shows have.”

Danger Money is a Two Brothers Pictures (an All3Media company) production, in association with All3Media International. The 6 x 60 action-comedy is created by David Crow and Oliver Maltman who serve as executive producers alongside Harry and Jack Williams, Sarah Hammond, Alex Mercer and Katie Churchill for Two Brothers. Carl Tibbetts is directing. David Crow and Oliver Maltman are writing episodes 1, 2 and 6, Iain Hollands is writing episodes 3 and 4, as well as serving as a co-EP, and Ryan O’Sullivan and Matilda Wnek are writing episode 5. The producer is Mick Pantaleo and Aisha Bywaters serves as casting director. Halo Pictures are the Maltese service company.
