Married At First Sight and We Need To Talk star Paul C. Brunson is launching  Soar Productions.

Founded to champion under-represented perspectives and real-world stories, Spar Productions will develop returnable, globally adaptable formats for broadcasters, streamers and digital platforms.

TV host and relationship expert Paul C. Brunson is founding Soar alongside Creative Development Producer Lucy Rutter who has worked as a producer on some of the industry’s biggest reality formats, including Married at First Sight, Love Is Blind and Squid Game: The Challenge.

From premium factual and entertainment series to short-form drama, the company will focus on entertaining, emotionally resonant content that reflects the complexities of modern relationships and contemporary life.

Paul C. Brunson said: “After years of working with couples and contributors on shows like Married at First Sight, I’ve seen what happens when people feel truly seen and heard. It shifts conversations, strengthens relationships, and sometimes even changes lives. Soar Productions was created to bring that same depth to the screen. We are developing returning factual formats, bold social-first series, and scripted micro-dramas that explore the human experience with honesty and empathy. We are already in production on our first slate, and this is just the beginning. Our ambition is not only to entertain, but to create stories that spark reflection long after the credits roll. By championing new voices in front of and behind the camera, we are building a home for emotionally intelligent storytelling that resonates in the UK and around the world.“

Lucy Rutter  aid:“Having worked with Paul for the last few years, it’s hugely exciting to be able to collaborate creatively through Soar Productions. Our goal is to craft distinctive original formats that centre under-represented voices and are rooted in relatability. We want to create shows that spark conversation, challenge assumptions and still feel hugely entertaining and accessible to audiences.”

Soar Productions enters the market with Paul C. Brunson: Red Flag, produced in association with FirstLookTV, due to air on U and U&W later this year. The eight-part documentary series will see Paul lead intimate interviews with survivors of abusive relationships, exploring the red flags that signalled emotional manipulation and the devastating consequences that followed, while offering insight, support and practical learning for viewers.

The series has been commissioned for U and U&W by UKTV’s Emile Nawagamuwa and Helen Nightingale. Emile Nawagamuwa said:
“We’re excited to be working with Paul and Soar Productions on a project that has the potential to make a meaningful impact on real people’s lives. Paul brings a rare combination of empathy, expertise and clarity when it comes to relationships, and combining these qualities with the lived experience of survivors is the perfect match. This series will genuinely help viewers recognise warning signs in their own lives.”

Will Hanrahan from First Look TV said: “FirstLookTV is delighted to be working with Paul and his team at Soar. This is an important series and Paul is bringing a fascinating insight into the issues surrounding arming ourselves against abuse in relationships.”

Alongside Paul C. Brunson: Red Flag, Soar Productions is developing a slate of original projects, including a new gritty short-form micro-drama concept set to launch in the coming months. Designed for digital-first audiences, the series will use tightly scripted, high-impact episodes to explore themes of fractured relationships and moral injury.

Soar Productions aims to build a diverse portfolio of original titles while welcoming collaboration with producers, organisations and media partners across the UK and internationally.
