The TV Foundation, the charity behind the Edinburgh TV Festival, has announced the winners of the 2026 New Voice Awards.
Fully Focused Productions picked up the Indie Impact Award for its “ongoing commitment to make productions inclusive and to transforming storytelling.”
Netflix director Olaide Sadiq took home the Victor Adebodun Debut Director award for the powerful documentary Grenfell: Uncovered.
BBC scooped two awards. Simi Jolaosa who picked up the award for Debut Presenter for the BBC Eye Investigates: The Child Cancer Scam; and AA Dhand won Debut Writer for Virdee.
Further awards for new talent went to Bella Roberts who picked up the award for Best Social Creator; and Fats Moeva for Future Presenter.
The TV Foundation’s Impact Director, Gemma Bradshaw said: “Watch out for the winners, and indeed all the nominees of the New Voice Awards, they are making some of the most creative and powerful storytelling on our screens. The New Voice Awards is always the most joyful event with everyone there focused on celebration, inclusivity and the future.”
All individual award winners will receive a free pass to the 2026 Edinburgh Television Festival.
