Trams, one of the largest B2B Apple Authorised Resellers in the UK, has acquired NMR Consultancy for an undisclosed fee.

The acquisition provides Trams and its clients with experts in broadcast, post-production, Media Asset Management (MAM), workflow automation and cloud technologies.

The NMR team will report to Trams CEO Warren Peel and CFO Alex Page. NMR’s founder Jason Thomson will leave the business with immediate effect.

The deal comes hot on the heels of Jigsaw24’s recent purchase of root6.

NMR said the sales and technical teams in both organisations will be able to provide clients with professional services such as custom software development and  technology solutions, from Apple Mac Management in the cloud, to emerging Machine Learning and Computer Vision technologies for Media Asset Management and workflow automation.

NMR’s CEO, Neil Anderson said: "We realised there were a lot of synergies between both our companies, with very little overlap, so when the opportunity to become part of Trams came up, it immediately felt like the right strategy."
