Post house The Farm has secured a long-term investment from Rex Brown Capital.
As part of the deal Simon Kanjee has exited the business with Martin Rivers assuming the role of MD.
The deal covers only the original Farm which is headquartered in Newman Street and does not include the Farm Soho business formerly trading as Technicolor Post Services.
The Farm Post employs 80 staff at its Newman Street HQ.
In a statement, The Farm said the deal is “testament to the hard work and talent of the Farm’s staff that such a landmark deal has been achieved at a time of great instability across the post sector and the industry as a whole.
“This investment is strategically important, allowing us to build upon the Farm’s great reputation for creative and technical delivery across all genres.
“We will continue to invest in our people and technologies, to innovate and improve our offering to the industry over the coming years.”
New MD, Martin Rivers Commented: “The Farm has built a reputation over 28 years of providing excellence and reliability in Post Production. We will focus relentlessly on exceeding our client’s expectations both technically and creatively. I am very excited to be part of a team with a wealth of experience who I know will contribute to a hugely successful future because of the love they have for what they do.
“We would like to thank Simon for all his hard work over the last 18months or so steadying the ship as Farm Post operations were extricated from Streamland Media and in securing this long-term investment which in turn secures the long term future of the Farm.”
Aside from Kanjee, the rest of the management team remains in place with Darren Musgrove as Commercial Director, Jamie Barton as Head of Operations, Mike Rigby as Engineering Manager, Aidan Farrell as Head of Grading and Nick Fry as Head of Audio remaining responsible for the day to day operations of the The Farm Post.
