Independent children’s producer Terrific Television has appointed 8 Lions as the international distributor and digital partner for its hit preschool series Monster Makes.
Under the agreement, 8 Lions will oversee all international distribution for the brand and manage the official Monster Makes YouTube channel, supporting the show’s growth across broadcast, streaming and digital platforms worldwide.
Produced by Terrific Television for CBeebies, Monster Makes combines imaginative crafting, playful storytelling and creative problem-solving to inspire children to make, create and reuse everyday materials. Led by presenter Rebecca Keatley alongside Murphi and friends, the series encourages young viewers to discover the creative possibilities hidden in ordinary objects and recyclable materials.
The partnership marks the next stage in the expansion of the Monster Makes brand as Terrific Television looks to build on the programme’s success with audiences in the UK.
Driana Jones, Co-Founder and Executive Producer of Terrific Television, said: “We are delighted to be working with 8 Lions on the international expansion of Monster Makes. Our ambition is to inspire children everywhere to imagine, make and create. We believe the show’s universal themes of creativity, sustainability and hands-on making have the potential to resonate with families around the world, and 8 Lions is the ideal partner to help us grow the brand internationally.”
Jiella Esmat, CEO of 8 Lions, added: “Monster Makes is a unique preschool property that combines imagination, creativity and hands-on making – increasingly sought-after themes by broadcasters, streamers and digital platforms, and we see significant potential for Monster Makes internationally. We’re excited to partner with Terrific Television to introduce Murphi and friends to children and families around the world.”
