VFX and animation studio, Jellyfish Pictures, has hired Matthew Bristowe as Director of Operations.
Bristowe joins Jellyfish Pictures after a stint as Head of Production at Technicolor. During his 20 years in the industry, Bristowe has overseen hundreds of productions and his credits include Aladdin (Disney), Star Wars: The Last Jedi (LucasFilm/Disney), Avengers: Age Of Ultron (Marvel) Guardians Of The Galaxy (Marvel) and in 2014 was given the Advanced Imaging Society’s Lumiere Award for his work on Alfonso Cuarón’s Academy Award-winning Gravity.
He also led the One Of Us VFX team to a Bafta for Best Visual and Graphic Effects and an RTS Best Digital Effects award for The Crown Season 1 and a further RTS award and BAFTA nomination in 2018 for The Crown Season 2.
Prior to working with Technicolor and One of Us, Bristowe held senior positions at MPC, and Prime Focus.
