Storyvault Films has appointed Claire Pugh-Williams as Company Director. She will join the existing board of directors – Southan Morris, Samantha Richards, Danielle Graham and David Buckley.

Pugh-Williams’ elevation to the board marks a progression from her current senior leadership position within the company, where she has served as Head of Production since 2023. In that position, she has been responsible for overseeing production across Storyvault’s flagship commissions, notably Portrait Artist of the Year and Landscape Artist of the Year for Sky Arts.

Samantha Richards, Executive Producer and Founding Partner of Storyvault Films, says: “This  strategic move for Storyvault demonstrates our commitment to strengthening not only our leadership team, but our creative production capability.

“2026 promises to be a very exciting year for us.  We recognise, though, an even greater need, in the current environment, to grow a senior team that can adeptly navigate commercial, creative and operational demands as we scale and diversify our output.  With her deep operational and creative expertise, we are thrilled to have Claire join our Board. In her expanded capacity as a Company Director, she will play an integral role in shaping Storyvault’s strategic direction, strengthening production leadership and supporting long-term slate development.“

Pugh-Williams brings expertise from prior leadership positions with the BBC (including Top Gear), Nutopia (including Limitless with Chris Hemsworth), Nest Productions and other independent producers. Her credits span high-profile unscripted and documentary series for global platforms including National Geographic/Disney+ and Discovery UK & Europe.

Claire Pugh-Williams, Head of Production, Storyvault Films, says: “Given the increasingly competitive market for distinctive factual formats and the ongoing global appetite for premium non-fiction content, it’s the perfect time for Storyvault to further stretch its creative wings.  I am delighted to have the opportunity to help shape the company’s future direction.“

In addition to 13 series of PAOTY and 12 series of LAOTY for Sky Arts, Storyvault’s slate includes  Write Around the World with Richard E Grant (BBC);  Gary Numan Resurrection; (Sky Arts) The Football Club (Channel 4); and The Sky Arts Book Club (Sky Arts). The company is currently in post production on the 90- minute feature documentary Will you Still Love me Tomorrow – The Gerry Goffin Story.
