Asacha Media Group indie, Wag Entertainment, has appointed Jane Glasson to the newly created role of Director of UK Development.

The new role comes on the back of recent orders from streamers and broadcasters including Netflix, Paramount+, ITV and Channel 5.

Reporting to Creative Director Bridget Boseley, Glasson will focus on Wag’s expansion into the UK and the streamer platforms. She will work alongside Bri Marzigliano, Head of US development who will continue to deliver on Wag’s existing international slate.

She joins Wag Entertainment from Spun Gold TV, where during five years as Head of Development, she was responsible for a raft of commissions including The Grand Party Hotel (BBC1), Inside Dubai: Playground of the Rich (BBC2), My Years with the Queen (ITV), Inside Westminster Abbey (Channel 5), Inside the Caribbean (Channel 4), and popular crime series and specials for Channel 5 and 5Star. Glasson previously headed up development at Scream Films and has developed and produced shows for networks including BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky, TLC, National Geographic, Disney+, and Apple TV, at companies including Tiger Aspect Productions, September Films, StoryVault Films and Burning Bright Productions.
