Spun Gold is to make a female version of ITV’s The Real Full Monty show, alongside the male version, in which a group of celebrities create a Full Monty style strip show for cancer awareness.
This ‘sister’ commission to The Real Full Monty will see two nights running on ITV this spring with both the men’s and women’s 1×90 special shows produced by Spun Gold Television.
The eight women celebrities are TV presenter Coleen Nolan, broadcaster Victoria Derbyshire, Emmerdale actress Sally Dexter, reality TV star Megan McKenna, former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton, actress Helen Lederer, actress Ruth Madoc and presenter Sarah-Jane Crawford.
The women will put together a performance while along the way they visit the Moulin Rouge in Paris to get inspiration for the show and will enlist the help of top designer Julien MacDonald for their costumes.
Ashley Banjo will help choreograph both the men’s and women’s shows.
Already in rehearsal and confirmed to take part in the return of ‘The Real Full Monty’ are presenter Alexander Armstrong, TOWIE star James ‘Arg’ Argent, presenter Jeff Brazier, The Wanted’s Tom Parker, Eastenders actor John Partridge, ex-Arsenal footballer John Hartson and retired England Rugby International Ugo Monye.
‘The Real Full Monty’ first ran on ITV last year to raise awareness of prostate cancer.
The Real Full Monty and The Real Full Monty: Ladies’ Night are commissioned for ITV by Kate Teckman, Factual Commissioner and Sue Murphy, Head of Factual Entertainment. For Spun Gold Television the Executive Producer is Kevin Mundye and Director is Will Yapp.
