Scottish post house, Serious Facilities, has opened “Scotland’s first fully integrated camera-floor to final post-production service”, Vault by Serious.
Vault by Serious is founded by Serious Facilities to offer a high-end DIT and Dailies service across all sectors: Cinema, HETV, Commercials, Documentary and Factual.
Vault’s team has credits spanning Hollywood features, HETV and factual productions. Vault offers a “fully modular service model, enabling producers to select precisely what they need.” Services include On-set and near-set Digital Imaging Technicians, Colour Pipeline & Show LUT design, Data-Management & Storage, Dailies and Digital-Lab Services, Workflows, Video Assist and On-set and remote – location WiFi & connectivity.
Serious says that Vault was created “in response to Scotland’s rapidly expanding screen sector” and is aimed at “visiting and local productions of all sizes.” Vault by Serious offers multiple on-set Livegrade and Data-Management rigs, in-house Baselight and Resolve grading suites and edit-suites and machine rooms.
Simon Cull, CEO Serious Facilities, said: “This was something that was very much lacking in Scotland’s existing film and TV infrastructure. I’m delighted that we can now offer this, to ensure Scotland competes at the very highest levels of the industry.”
Grant McPhee, Vault by Serious, said: “Scotland has always punched well above its weight regarding crews and technical excellence. Now that there is a huge increase in productions using Scotland as a location, as well as an increase in home-grown productions the introduction of Vault will be a huge benefit to both local and visiting productions.”
Recent credits for the facility include Outlander (S1-S8, DIT, Dailies and Data-Management), Supergirl (Data-Management for Scotland), The Island, Annika, The Bidding Room, Gifted, Dragons Den and Borges and Me (Data-Lab).
