Scott Free Productions is to produce new eight-part Apple TV+ crime drama, Sinking Spring.

Writer and exec producer is Peter Craig (The Batman, The Town, Top Gun: Maverick) and it will star Brian Tyree Henry (Causeway, Atlanta, Bullet Train) who also has an exec producer credit.

Ridley Scott is to direct, marking his second TV directing role after Scott Free’s HBO Max series, Raised By Wolves. Craig will also direct an episode of the show.

The series is based on Dennis Tafoya’s book, Dope Thief, about to Philadelphia friends who pose as DEA agents to rob a large country house only to unwittingly reveal the biggest narcotics corridor on the eastern seaboard.

The series is exec produced by Craig, Scott, Henry, David W. Zucker, Jordan Sheehan and Clayton Krueger with Tafoya will serve as consulting producer.
