Netflix has announced that Alley Cats, the new original 6×15-minute adult animated comedy series, from Emmy and BAFTA award-winning creator Ricky Gervais (After Life, Extras, The Office) will come to Netflix on Friday 7th August 2026.
The series cast includes Ricky Gervais, Tom Basden, Andrew Brooke, David Earl, Kerry Godliman, Jo Hartley, Diane Morgan, and also features Natalie Cassidy and Tony Way.
The series follows the trials and tribulations of a group of feral British cats who seek companionship while ruminating about the struggles of everyday life, and features a bold 2D animation style produced at Blink Industries (Dead End: Paranormal Park, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared).
Creator and Director is Ricky Gervais, Co-director is Elliot Dear and the Executive Producers are Ricky Gervais of Derek Productions and Steven Hamilton Shaw (Gnomeo & Juliet) of Shush Creative. Production Designer is Tang Heng (Kung Fu Panda 1 & 2).
