Matthew Winter has been appointed as Head of Development for Factual programming at Banijay UK label, Remarkable TV.

Reporting to Kitty Walshe, Remarkable TV Managing Director (factual), Winter is tasked with driving forward a new factual development strategy for the company and building the slate which includes  Your Home Made Perfect, Animal Park and  Sunday Brunch.

Prior to joining Remarkable TV, Winter was Development Executive at Optomen and was responsible for co-creating Sort Your Life Out (BBC One) and the upcoming C4 series Highlife. He also helped secure the company’s first series commission for American cable network HGTV. Previous roles include a period at Boomerang, where he secured commissions including the BAFTA and RTS nominated Big Zuu’s Big Eats (Dave), Lime Pictures and ITV Studios Australia where he helped create local versions of formats including Love Island. 

Kitty Walshe, MD at Remarkable TV, said: “Matthew is a talented and creative television executive who brings a wealth of experience with him. Matthew joins with immediate effect and reports directly to Kitty Walshe.
