MassiveMusic London has just collaborated with Nike to create a part commercial/part pop promo to promote Nike’s new women’s sports clothing collection designed by ‘technical couture designer’ Pedro Lourenço.
The short film was directed by Somesuch’s Abteen Bagheri, and centres on some impressive footage of French dancer Hajiba Fahmy (shot in Morocco’s Atlas Mountains), dancing to Jessy Lanza’s track ‘As If’, which is played in full.
MassiveMusic did the music supervision on the piece, putting forward Jessy Lanza’s track, which is central to the promo.
“It has the space needed to let the visuals take precedence whilst keeping a constant rhythm throughout,” explains Roscoe Williamson, Music Producer at MassiveMusic London. “Jessy’s off kilter production and vocal performance add a real sense of dynamic to the film which was really important for Aaron Sillis’ (the choreographer) brief.”
