Pinewood Studios is to host the Pinewood ‘Futures Festival’, in November.

The careers festival aims to inspire and educate young people, 14-22 year olds, as well as career changers about the breadth of roles in Film & TV, encouraging people from all backgrounds and areas of the UK to enter the industry.

Corporate Affairs Director Andrew M. Smith OBE DL said: “Pinewood Group are delighted to be hosting the Futures Festival, the largest careers fair of its kind, welcoming 4,000 young people to our Studios in Buckinghamshire from across the UK. Attracting new talent and developing skills are key priorities for Pinewood Group to support the growth of our booming screen industry.”

The ‘Futures Festival’ will take place on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 November and will feature:

• Exhibitor zone, for companies and educational organisations to talk about careers and routes into the industry.

• Series of Q&As and masterclasses with high-profile speakers and industry professionals explaining the range of roles and how to get started.

• Staffed by different production departments, to explain how a production comes together.

• Demonstrations and workshops with industry insiders.

Over 4,000 tickets have already been registered by schools, individuals and educational institutions from across the UK including the government highlighted opportunity areas.

Attendees will have the chance to meet exhibitors from all areas of the industry including major productions companies and representatives from departments across film and TV Production, including Art Department, Costume, Props, Lighting, Construction, Camera, Producing, script-writing, Special and Visual Effects and much more.
