Post house, Residence Pictures, has appointed Emma Ibbetson as Executive VFX Producer.

VFX and motion design specialist, Ibbetson, boasts credits including David Fincher’s Mank, Joe Wright’s Anna Karenina and more recently Renegade Nell.

Before joining Residence Pictures, Ibbetson was the Head of Production at Nineteentwenty, where she led VFX delivery across the film and episodic arm. Earlier, as Senior VFX Producer at Territory Studio, she played a key role in developing the company’s VFX department, overseeing major projects as well as training and mentoring the wider production team.

With over 25 years of experience heading up film and episodic production in creative studios including One Of Us and Smoke & Mirrors, Ibbetson will lead the Residence Pictures VFX offering as Executive VFX Producer.

Residence Pictures’ recent work includes the second season of We Might Regret This and the reboot of Lynley for the BBC, Elena Anreicheva’s Intelligence Rising, which premiered earlier this year at the Copenhagen International Film Festival as part of their F: act Award Competition section, and SXSW London. Residence Pictures provided the grade for the upcoming BBC series The Split Up.

Cara Kotschy, Co-Founder of Residence Pictures, says: “Emma’s unmatched craft and contribution across so many high-end international projects make her an invaluable part of Residence Pictures. Her experience as both a creative and production partner aligns with our model and outlook to support clients at every point of development for ambitious projects. As we continue to evolve the business, Emma’s expertise will play a key role in expanding the creative support we can offer to productions. We’re thrilled to have her on board at such an important time for the business”.
