Passion has hired Cathal McElhinney as Head of Development for Passion Docs.

Led by Founder, Andrew Ruhemann and Creative Director David Moulton, Passion Docs is a division of Passion Pictures.

McElhinney joins from Box To Box Films where he was Development Executive whose recent credits include Make or Break (Apple TV+) and an upcoming four-part series focussing on Carlos Ghosn (former Nissan and Renault CEO) as well as a behind-the-scenes series about the PGA and ATP tours. Prior to Box To Box, McElhinney was at Raw TV, where he worked on Fear City and Bad Sport for Netflix.

Passion Docs work recently had two films nominated at this year’s News and Documentary Emmy Awards, with The Real Charlie Chaplin and The Rescue nominated in the Outstanding Arts and Culture and Best Documentary categories. Passion Planet (another division of Passion Pictures) and Passion-backed, KEO Films are both nominated for awards in the Outstanding Nature Documentary category for My Garden of a Thousand Bees and Lucy the Human Chimp respectively.
