Des, Cobra and Catherine the Great producer, New Pictures, has hired Lisa Selway as Chief Operating Officer.

Emily Russell also takes on a new role as Director of Production / Executive Producer and Wendy Pearce takes on a new role as Chief Financial Officer.

Selway will work alongside co-founders of the company, Willow Grylls and Elaine Pyke, along with Russell and Pearce with a remit to continue the growth of the company’s development and further build on its successful scripted content.

With over fifteen years of experience, Selway has acted on behalf of film and television producers, financiers, distributors, talent, a global streaming platform and was most recently an independent Business Affairs Specialist at Grey Seal Media.

Russell has been with the company since 2020. In her new role, she will oversee the production of all New Pictures’ growing slate of content, working closely with the co-founders and the rest of the leadership team. Prior to New Pictures, Russell was a Production Executive at Mammoth Screen, having worked on ‘The Serpent’ (BBC/Netflix), ‘War of the World’ (BBC) and ‘Endeavour’ (ITV). During her freelance years Russell had a successful career as a Line Producer, working on such productions as ‘Next of Kin’, ‘ Doctor Foster’ and ‘Waterloo Road’.

Pearce joined the company in 2017 as Head Of Finance rising to Finance director in 2019. As New Pictures enters the next phase, Pearce steps up to takes on the role of CFO to manage the financial risks, planning and compliance to help develop the strategic growth of the company.  Prior to New Pictures, Pearce worked within the All3Media Group as Head of Finance at North One Sport and Company Pictures, Endemol, and Pearson Television.

New Pictures’ credits run from ‘Des’ (ITV/Sundance) starring David Tennant to ‘Catherine the Great’ (Sky/HBO) starring Helen Mirren, from Golden Globe-nominated ‘The Missing’ (BBC/Starz) to genre-bending ‘The Innocents’ (Netflix Originals), from Sky Max’ ‘Cobra’ to ‘The Spanish Princess’ (Starz), from true-crime hit ‘White House Farm’ (ITV/HBO Max) to Bertie Carvel starring crime procedural ‘Dalgleish’ (Channel 5/Acorn/AMC). Their upcoming slate includes ‘No Escape’ for Paramount +, ’The Long Shadow’ for ITV, a third series of ‘Cobra’ for Sky Max, a second and third series of ‘Dalgliesh’ for Channel 5 and Candice Carty-Williams’ ‘Champion’ for BBC One and Netflix in association with Balloon Entertainment. New Pictures is a part of All3Media.
