Corporate communications trade body EVCOM has announced the appointment of Leigh Jagger in the role of CEO.

Jagger replaces Jennifer Jenkins who completes her two year term at the end of June.

Jagger, the former CEO of global event management agency Banks Sadler, will take up the new role in late Summer after a handover period.

Jenkins said, “As I was coming to the end of my time at EVCOM, I approached Leigh as a successor directly. I knew that not only did she bring the necessary business experience for this role, but also a real understanding of the industry. Certainly, industry colleagues who have worked with Leigh over the years will be able to attest to what she will be able to bring to our membership.”.

Jagger has over 30 years’ experience in the live events industry and has led Banks Sadler for 18 years. She has been charged by the Evcom Board with driving “further collaboration across industry and ensure effective campaigning for the causes that matter most to our members”.

On taking up her new role Jagger said, “As a previous Board Member, I’m really excited to be joining EVCOM as CEO. It is a time of great change but also opportunity for our industry. I am looking forward to spending time with our members to better understand how we can tackle today’s business challenges together, as a community.  I am passionate about creating an ever-stronger voice for the industry and our members, and can’t wait to get started!”
