VFX and animation Studio Jellyfish Pictures made two key senior animation hires.
DreamWorks alumnus and industry veteran Louis Flores has joined the Jellyfish Animation Features team as Visual Effects Supervisor, bringing over 25 years of experience to the role. Formally Head of Effects at DreamWorks Animation and, most recently, VFX Supervisor at Mikros Animation, Flores has worked on iconic film franchises including Kung Fu Panda, Trolls, Croods and How to Train Your Dragon.
Animation and VFX senior executive, Chrissy Metge has been appointed Executive Producer, Animation. Formally at DNEG and Weta, she boasts over two decades of credits that include Entergalactic, Ron’s Gone Wrong, Iron Man 3, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, and The Hobbit franchise.

Metge and Flores will partner on a forthcoming, undisclosed animated feature production for a Hollywood studio and their appointments reinforce Jellyfish Animation’s continued expansion into the feature animation and high-end episodic content market. Jellyfish Pictures is also currently in production on an animated series for Netflix EMEA/Lime entitled Wereworld, based on a popular book series by Curtis Jobling and a feature adaptation of one of Roald Dahl’s most beloved children’s books for Netflix Features Animation.
