ITV Studios revenue has grown 16%, at £927m, and the production of scripted hours is up by 82 per cent.
Speaking on the release of ITV interim results, chief executive Carolyn McCall observed that Studios growth was “growing ahead of the wider market [estimated to grow at around 3% in the medium term], as we continue to diversify the business.”
The recent £103m acquisition of Plimsoll has given the production house a new genre in natural history and former BBC drama controller Ben Stephenson is setting up a transatlantic scripted label.
Ahead of the launch of digital platform ITVX towards the end of 2022, McCall said “we are confident in delivering at least £750m of digital revenues by 2026 and delivering attractive returns to shareholders.”
