Idris Elba’s Green Door Pictures has appointed Miles Jarvis as head of non-scripted.
Jarvis has built development teams and created and produced returning series across factual, fact ent and reality for UK broadcasters plus US-parented networks including Discovery, A&E and Scripps.
His credits include Missing, The Day The Immigrants Left, Britain’s Darkest Taboos, Gino’s Italian Escape, Seven Days With… Stars in their Cars, Dance Mums and Katie Price’s Pony Club.
Jarvis said, “The values, passion and ambition of Idris and Green Door make this a hugely exciting opportunity. I can’t wait to join the team and get started.”
Elba said, “Miles joining Green Door is another milestone for the growth in the company. Our ambitions are aligned to encourage diversity of thought with our content and create platforms for underrepresented factual and entertainment makers. He’s a good guy and is a great fit for the Green Door team.”
He will join Green Door in September and will work along side Ana Garanito to creatively lead the company across Non-Scripted and Scripted respectively.
