Keshet International has appointed Jamie Munro as the managing director of its British scripted production arm, Keshet UK, alongside his existing Greenbird responsibilities.

Munro has been filling the role previously held by Howard Burch since he left the company earlier this year.

Alon Shtruzman, KI’s CEO, says, “We are thrilled that Jamie has taken on this role as MD of Keshet UK. His creative sensibilities, vast management experience, and understanding of the UK market mean he is perfectly placed to drive Keshet UK and maximize our extensive catalog of scripted IP in the UK and with global streamers. Jamie and Stuart have done a fantastic job of overseeing our UK operations during the last three years, while still running Greenbird, and we look forward to continuing to build on that successful relationship.”

Jamie Munro, co-MD of Greenbird and MD of Keshet UK, says, “I am really enjoying my expanded role across Greenbird and developing the Keshet UK slate.  It’s exciting to be working closely with all of Keshet’s scripted teams – here in the UK, in Israel, in the US, and in Germany – building a business that can help unlock the full potential of KI’s rich and highly successful catalog of international IP from Israel and elsewhere.”

Following its 2018 acquisition of a majority stake in Greenbird Media, KI announced the following year that Greenbird’s two joint-managing directors, Jamie Munro and Stuart Mullin, would take on responsibility for the company’s UK operations – KI’s British production company, Keshet UK, and KI’s UK-based team – in a move that brought all staff together under one roof at Greenbird’s central London offices.

Shortly afterward, Keshet International completed the integration of its UK interests with Keshet UK’s non-scripted arm re-launching as new indie Interstellar – led by Managing Director David Williams, with Jamie Ormerod promoted to Creative Director and Marisa Guagenti as Head of Production – under the Greenbird umbrella. Recent production successes include All Star Dance Off (ITV2) and two seasons of Question Team (UKTV’s Dave), which KI is distributing internationally.

Launched by KI in 2012, Keshet UK develops, produces, and co-produces original scripted programs for the UK and global markets, as well as adapting third-party and Keshet formats, such as the False Flag remake Suspicion (Apple TV); The A Word plus its spin-off Ralph & Katie (both co-productions for BBC One); and Loaded (Ch4).
