Channel 4 has released a first-look clip and new imagery from Russell T Davies’ new drama filmed and set in Manchester, Tip Toe.

The clip features Emmy and Tony award-winner and Golden Globe and SAG Award nominee Alan Cumming (The Traitors, Glenrothan) as Leo and BAFTA-nominated and RTS-winner David Morrissey (Sherwood, Daddy Issues) as Clive. Tip Toe is coming soon to Channel 4.

Leo runs a bar on Canal Street, while Clive’s an electrician with a wife and two sons. But when one man gives the other his front door key, it opens a world of fear, mistrust, prejudice and danger, as their lives collide. It’s neighbours at war like never before, in a tense suburban thriller which challenges everything we consider to be safe.

New imagery features Jackson Connor (Phoenix Rise, Masters of the Air) as Clive’s youngest son George, Joseph Evans (The Map That Leads To You, CC Emily) as George’s older brother Saul, Iz Hesketh (Renegade Nell, Hollyoaks) as Zee and Shakeel Kimotho (La Cage Aux Folles (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre)), CATS (International Tour) as Hanna, who both work at Spit & Polish, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (Wednesday, Devs) as the bar’s manager Judy, Paul Rhys (Saltburn, Napoleon) as Melba, a Canal Street fixture, Stephen Bailey (The Madame Blanc Mysteries, Live at the Apollo) as Benny and Denise Welch (Waterloo Road, Coronation Street) as Diane.
The series also stars Pooky Quesnel (The A Word, Moonflower Murders) as Clive’s wife Marie, Elizabeth Berrington (Lost Boys & Fairies, Last Night In Soho) as Leo’s best friend Stephanie and Charlie Condou (Doctor Who, Unforgotten) as Leo’s ex-husband Curtis.

Tip Toe is produced by Quay Street Productions (part of ITV Studios), with Nicola Shindler (Queer as Folk, It’s A Sin, Fool Me Once), Russell T Davies (It’s a Sin, Queer as Folk, Years and Years), Peter Hoar (Queer as Folk, It’s A Sin, Fool Me Once) and Alan Cumming serving as Executive Producers.
