Firecracker has appointed Emma Morgan as its new Creative Director of Factual.
Based in the London office of the Tinopolis owned indie, Morgan will be responsible for spearheading the development and production of new series and formats at Firecracker.
She joins having just Exec Produced Channel 4’s A Very British Hotel (Inside the Mandarin Oriental) series.
She has previously held senior creative roles at Oxford Scientific Films, Mentorn Media and Two Four and is also the Deputy Chair of the BAFTA TV Committee.
Firecracker Chief Creative Officer, Jes Wilkins said: “Emma is one of the most talented and innovative creatives in the business. I’ve always wanted to work with her and I’m delighted that the time has finally come.”
Morgan said: “Firecracker have a great reputation for producing attention grabbing programmes that people talk about for years. As well as being talented, they’re also a really nice bunch of people. I am delighted to be joining the team.”
Firecrackers credits include Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, Repo Man and Worst Place to be a Pilot and single docs Susan Boyle: Unlikely Superstar, The Human Spider, My Transgender Kid and The Man With The Ten Stone Testicles.
