Cineflix Media is partnering with executive producer Jacqueline Bynon on her new production company, More to the Story Media.

Based in Toronto, More to the Story Media will develop and produce true crime series, documentaries, movies, and podcasts for global audiences. With several projects already in development, Bynon’s new company will focus on high-profile cases that “honour victims, enthrall audiences, and unearth the truth.”

The partnership gives Cineflix Media the first option to develop and co-produce original content with Bynon, while her projects will have access to services and development support from Cineflix Productions. Cineflix Rights has the exclusive first-look to distribute More to the Story Media content internationally.

“There’s always more to a story than you hear on the news or in court—and that’s where I want to go. At its core, crime is about psychology and relationships, and the deeper we dig, the more we reveal the human tragedy at the centre of the story,” said Jacqueline Bynon, President, More to the Story Media. “Trust is a key ingredient that gives an investigative journalist the incentive to keep digging, and Cineflix has given me the freedom to pursue stories rigorously over the years—I’m excited to be partnering with them on More to the Story Media.”

“Jacqueline was the driving force behind many of Cineflix’s stand-out investigative true crime series that saw success on an international scale. Integrity and purpose are woven through her work,” said J.C. Mills, President and Commercial Director, Cineflix Productions. “What impresses me most is that Jacqueline leaves absolutely no stone unturned in her pursuit of the truth.”

A seasoned writer, producer, and investigative journalist, Jacqueline Bynon is known for covering some of the most harrowing stories of crime and humanity. At Cineflix, Bynon’s Executive Producer credits include: cold case investigation documentary series and podcast The Clown and the Candyman and ratings success Children of the Snow; documentary specials Colleen Stan: The Girl in the Box, Elizabeth Shoaf: The Girl in the Bunker, and Joyce Mitchell and the New York Prison Break; medical series Sin City ER; and true crime series Murder in Paradise, Cold BloodMotives & Murders, as well as the Gemini Award-winning Nazi Hunters. Previous to Cineflix, she worked in film, TV, and radio as a freelance producer, reporter, and writer on various programs.

Cineflix has joint venture partnerships with Morwyn Brebner and Andrew Akman’s Husk Media, Charles Tremayne’s First Story Productions, Pablo Salzman’s Connect3 Media, and Marcella producer Buccaneer Media led by Tony Wood and Richard Tulk-Hart.
