Zinc Media Group’s post-production & camera kit arm, Bumblebee, has promoted Murray Leitch to Technical Supervisor.
Based in Glasgow, Leitch will work closely under James Langridge, Head of MCR, supporting technical operations across Bumblebee’s facilities at both English and Scottish bases. Having worked for the company over the last 5 years, in the newly created role of Technical Supervisor, Leitch will help oversee the technical workflows that support production teams across the UK, ensuring they have access to the facilities, expertise and infrastructure they need wherever their project is based.
Bumblebee opened its London office in 2022 with a second base in Glasgow launched in 2025. In that time, the company’s credits include post-production on several BAFTA nominated documentaries including Putin vs The West from Brook Lapping and Hardcash’s Russel Brand: In Plain Sight for Channel 4 Dispatches, as well as other notable series such as Brook Lapping’s Brexit: A Very British Civil War and Clash of the Superpowers: America vs China, for BBC Two. Rex’s Top Guns: The Next Generation for Nat Geo, Rex’s Rob & Rylan’s Grand Tour and Tern TV’s The Inner Circle for BBC One and Race Against the Tide which is currently airing on BBC Two.
Lorenzo Culora, Head of Post, said “Murray’s promotion is a natural next step as we continue to build a technical operation that genuinely connects London and Glasgow. Having the right people and expertise across both locations means we can give productions across the UK much greater flexibility, whilst making sure the technical standards and service remain consistent wherever the work is taking place.
“We’re also committed to nurturing and developing the talent we have within Bumblebee. Murray’s progression is another great example of that. Investing in our people and giving them the opportunity to grow their skills and take on greater responsibility is a key part of building a strong, sustainable team for the future. As Bumblebee continues to grow, developing our in-house talent alongside bringing in new expertise will be central to that success.”
