Plan B Europe has added Maria Fleischer as executive producer and Charlie Silver as development producer.
Fleischer joins from Sony Pictures Television International where she is vp, original development. Her career includes stints at Origin Pictures, Fox Searchlight and DNA Films and TV.
Silver has spent the last eight years at House Productions, latterly as development producer, where he has worked across films and shows including Danny Boyle’s Ink, Andrea Arnold’s Bird and James Graham’s Sherwood.
Plan B, the production company co-led by Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, part of the Mediawan group since 2022, set up subsidiary Plan B Europe, based in London and headed by Ed Macdonald, last year.
The European base is focused on increased production of premium series in the UK and across Europe.
Plan B’s recent releases including films “F1”, “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”, “Nickel Boys”, and “Mickey 17” ; television series “Adolescence”, “Three Body Problem”, and “Lego Masters”; documentaries (with its partner KM Films), “Apocalypse in The Tropics” and “One to One”; its Tony-nominated theater debut “Enemy of the People”, and recent audio success for Audible “What Could Go Wrong”.
In addition to its collaboration with Netflix UK on “Adolescence”, Plan B’s recent work includes collaborations with the BBC – on Raine Allen-Miller’s “The Roots Manoeuvre”, the follow up to her BAFTA nominated “Rye Lane” – and Film Four – on Phillippa Lowthorpe’s adaptation of “H is For Hawk”.
