Blackmagic has released its Camera for iOS 2.0 update, which adds support for remotely controlling and monitoring multiple iPhones at the same time.
It allows for an iPhone to be set up as a controller, so phones running Blackmagic Camera can be securely connected using a wired or wifi network.
It also allows for viewing all cameras in a multi view, allowing monitoring and controlling things like zoom, focus, white balance, frame rate, shutter angle or lens selection on an individual camera. Or the user can adjust all connected cameras at the same time.
It also enables for synchronisation of all cameras to start and stop recording at the same time.
The update adds support for Apple Silicon based iPad Pros, allowing use of the iPad as a camera or as a controller. When used as a controller the iPad’s larger display makes it easier to monitor multiple cameras in either a multi view setup with up to nine cameras on screen at a time, or scroll through each individual camera.
In addition, the update adds support to capture up to 100fps in HD on iPhone 15 Pro.
There is also a new option to select multiple clips in the media tab to copy or delete them all at once, speeding up workflow.
Blackmagic Camera for iOS 2.0 is available as a free download
