BBC Studios has hired former ViacomCBS UK Chief Commercial Officer Arran Tindall as SVP Key Markets, EMEA.
Based in London and reporting into Nick Percy, EVP EMEA, Tindall will be responsible for revenue and profit across Africa, Benelux, Nordics, Poland and CEE. He will lead on the commercial strategy and delivery of best value and commercial returns from the suite of BBC-branded services and content sales opportunities in these markets.
Tindall spent twenty years at ViacomCBS, most recently in the position of Chief Commercial Officer for the UK, where he was responsible for distribution, content sales, advertising and digital across Viacom and Channel 5, and led on growth plans for DTC products. Prior to this Tindall spent eight years as SVP Commercial and Content Distribution leading business development and channel, product and content distribution in EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America, working with clients such as Amazon, Apple and Netflix.

The appointment of Arran Tindall as SVP Key Markets completes the EMEA commercial leadership team consisting of Salim Mukaddam, SVP Content Sales Markets, responsible for growing the value of the content distribution business in France, Germany, Italy, Russia and Spain; Natasha Hussain, SVP MENA responsible for driving opportunities for growth across all lines of business for Turkey, the Middle East, Israel, and North Africa region; and Cecilia Beacon, SVP Programming and Marketing, accountable for editorial and marketing decisions across BBC Studios’ branded services footprint in EMEA.
